Wedding flowers!

After a year of work, we are finally getting geared up to enter our first season of summer weddings. So exciting!

Picked up some wonderful purple phalaenopsis orchids (the purple ones) today, as well as some green cymbidium orchids, some roses and white calla lilies. Stay tuned to see what we come up with!

Tiffany blue

In October, we made a bouquet for a pre-wedding shoot — the green and white bouquet featured in our Green Bouquet — Busy October pt 2. We were contacted by ORA Wedding Photography not long after requesting for a bouquet and boutonniere for the same couple on their wedding day. The bride did not have any specific flowers in mind, however, she did request that the colours be white and Tiffany Blue. Now for some males (the other half of Blooming Bouquet), had no idea what Tiffany Blue looked like, so here is a picture for reference.

We couldn’t think of any flowers that grew naturally with this shade and neither could our wholesaler so we found the flower with the closest shade and choose to use a ribbon that was also similar in colour.

Our end product was this:

Green Bouquet – Busy October pt 2

Beautiful Bouquet for the Beautiful Bride

Here is another bouquet we did for a wedding photo shoot in mid October. We used green and white and tried to keep things clean, playing with an asymmetrical design. In here are stargazer lilies, green hydrangeas, daisies and mums. Thanks to ORA Wedding Photography for letting us tag along on their photo shoot.

Pro Tip: Not that this happened to us, but whenever you are large lilies such as the stargazers, make sure you don’t get the pollen on you because they will stain (especially white wedding dresses) rather quickly. So make sure that the stems are removed!
